Need help choosing the perfect gift?

It’s coming up to Christmas and you have no idea what to gift your loved one?

The answer is easier than you think!

Jewellery is always a good idea and if you follow some of our guidelines, it will make your life easy and put a smile on the face of the recipient.

But where to start?

Choosing a birthstone will show that you put some serious thought into the gift. Here is a quick rundown of the birthstones we use in South Africa:

* June: Moonstone

* July: Ruby

* August: Peridot

* September: Sapphire

* October: Opal and tourmaline

* December: Tanzanite, lapis lazuli and turquoise

That’s step 1 done. Next step is to decide what type of jewellery. 

A pendant is always a good choice especially if you do not know a ring size. It is a perfect gift for a mother, daughter, granddaughter or niece. And don’t forget about the men in your life, they also like to be spoiled with something other than a tie or a pocket knife!  Depending on the recipients’ taste, the birthstone can be set in a simple solitaire or we can help with the design of something extra special.

Earrings are always a winner. From simple studs to elaborate drops, the only thing holding you back is your imagination (and here we can help as well!)

Now all you need is to decide which metal to use. 

Sterling silver is a good choice if the recipient likes the look of it, but you can also consider gold. Again, it depends on taste and budget. Gold options are yellow, rose or white gold.
